NDIS Respite Care Cairns Area Fall Forward QLD

For most of us 2020 has been a year we will never forget. During the chaos and uncertainty, one of our valued participants who has been with “Fall Forward” for four months has beaten all odds and accomplished his most difficult yet rewarding NDIS goal.

This was achieved while supporting a young family with daddy duties, gym sessions, literacy and numeracy sessions, life skill building and working a part-time job.

The founders of Fall Forward and all staff would like to take the opportunity to appreciate this strong hearted, resilient amazing human-being.

Congratulations to you sir!

“Beautifully guided Yoga and breathwork session. The class can practically be done with your eyes closed with the clear directions incorporating little corrections.

Lovely session, thank you so much!”

“I wanted to share how much the community breakfast means to me.

This morning I really wanted to come, but I was feeling stressed, overwhelmed and scattered, and it nearly kept me away. These breakfasts are something I look forward to, not because it is free and not just for the food (though the food is always lovely) but for the space and the people.

The warmth, the welcoming, the non-judgement, and the sense of acceptance are what really draw me.

By half past ten I realised I just needed to come and be around people. I reminded myself that even if I wasn’t feeling “together,” it would be okay to show up a bit topsy-turvy, and that I’d be met with kindness. Sure enough, when I arrived, even as things were wrapping up, I was still welcomed, and given a plate of food and a hot drink by Chantel, and able to have a chat with Cheerie that I really needed.

I’m not used to reaching out or asking for help but this space makes it safe to do so. These breakfasts really do help me get out of the house and connect with people and community.

I’m very grateful. I really see the value in them for myself, for others, and for the community as a whole. It feels to me like an antidote to division, separation and isolation that can leave people feeling on their own and not knowing where to turn.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.”
